The problem of the threatened limb is a common scenario in vascular surgery. What are the criteria that decide whether a limb is threatened? What investigations are appropriate? What management options are available? It would be helpful to include some imaging showing different degrees of arterial occlusion and ask for interpretation and management. The decisions will vary with the degree and extent of occlusion. The critique needs to be expanded to cover the recent literature.
