Overview:

Obstetrics and gynaecology is an exciting and very versatile field in which to specialise. However, not everyone wants to follow this career path and the cases in this module have been developed for those who are likely to come across obstetric and gynaecological problems in their training or careers, but perhaps not have ultimate responsibility for their management.
There are many examples: the general practitioner discussing contraceptive advice with a patient who wants to go on the pill, the emergency room physician assessing a young woman with lower abdominal pain or the rural doctor concerned her patient is going into early labour...
